Deck Construction
A deck is structural carpentry that lives outside, takes weather year-round, and is supposed to hold up your family and a grill full of food without complaint. Most "deck problems" we get called to inspect are footing problems, ledger-board problems, or fastener problems — all of which are invisible until they're catastrophic. We over-engineer the parts you'll never see so the parts you do see hold up for decades.
Every Decks Project. Done to the Same Standard.
Composite Decking
Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon — capped composite boards that don't rot, splinter, or need annual staining. Hidden fasteners for a clean finish.
Pressure-Treated & Cedar Lumber
Traditional wood decks done with proper drainage gaps, stainless or coated fasteners, and finishes that actually penetrate the grain.
Code-Compliant Footings
Concrete piers below frost line, attached to posts with proper hardware, sized for your deck's actual load. Inspected. Permitted. Done right.
Ledger Board Attachment
Lag-bolted into the rim joist with proper flashing, washers, and waterproofing. This is the #1 cause of deck collapses nationally — we treat it accordingly.
Railings & Stairs
Aluminum, cable, glass, or wood railings — installed to code with the correct baluster spacing. Stairs with consistent rise/run that don't feel weird underfoot.
Pergolas, Shade & Lighting
Integrated pergolas, low-voltage step lighting, and built-in benches that turn a deck into an actual outdoor room.
Typical Timeline
1–3 weeks depending on size, complexity, and permitting.
What It Usually Costs
Pressure-treated decks: $30–$50 per sq ft installed. Composite decks: $55–$95 per sq ft. Premium materials and multi-level designs run higher.
Every project is priced after an in-home consultation. These ranges are honest ballparks — not bait-and-switch starting prices.
Let's Talk About It.
